Brunello Il Marroneto su Jancis Robinson

Mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. At first a little smoky and closed. Fluid palate that is still embryonic. Wonderful tannic grip and structure and balance. There is lots of concentration, but the fruit is still a little reluctant to come out. Elegance is key! (WS)

Earthy and balsamic more than fruity. Supple ripe fruit with lovely length and quite serious, coating tannins. Can age, but already lovely to drink. (WS)
