“Madonna delle Grazie” Brunello di Montalcino 2005

2005  “Madonna delle Grazie” Brunello di Montalcino
The single-vineyard 2005 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie reveals more intensity in color along with darker profile in its aromas and flavors than the regular bottling. The Madonna delle Grazie is impressively endowed from a structural point of view and offers gorgeous volume in its black cherries, spices, smoke and licorice. As outstanding as this is, it isn’t appreciably better or more complex than the regular bottling, just different in terms of its personality, which is fairly bold and extroverted as compared to the more delicate straight Brunello.
Antonio Galloni (Rober Parker – The Wine Advocate ) 92/100

This special selection Brunello shows ripe notes of strawberry and raspberry backed by spice and mature cherry. It’s smooth and bright with a touch of sour fruit on the close.
Monica Larner (Wine Enthusiast) 88/100 – 10/1/2010
